With fashion week just around the corner, it is time for me to start looking for that perfect statement handbag. Unfortunately – I can’t afford an amazing Channel, Mulberry or Burberry – however I can keep my eyes peeled for some perfect pieces that have taken inspiration from A/W12 to showcase at this year’s London fashion week.
Of course as ever – this bag has to be big, practical and durable as well as stylish!
Here are my picks.
I love the classic black padded styles from Chanel, and this alternative shopper bag from BHS is just perfect.
The Wang box clutch is refusing to die down – and you can see why, it’s just perfect. Glamerous, statement, edgy, feminie alst while not being over the top – and boohoo have created a really excellent cheaper alternative. They have also done the same for this amazing baby pink Vlaentino clutch, also from Boohoo.
Bright yellows and mustards are going to be news this SS13 – so if you can’t quite afford this amazing structured leather Tony Burch – there is a great alternative from River Island.
What do you think – which should I go for?
I have decided to start a new feature here on Carrie Coco, and that is giving a new different brand the home, fashion and beauty spotlight each month. However I am going to try and showcase brands other than typical high street or online go-to’s and try to find gems that you might not consider otherwise.
I would love to focus on some independents or Ebay sellers in the future so if you know of anyone or would like to be features yourself just shoot me an email.
This month I am going to looking at some key pieces of women’s fashion from BHS. I tend to shop there quite a lot as I always find myself relatively surprised by the quality and affordability of their products.
Once thought of as the domain for your granny and her pop socks, BHS have really altered their image and product line of recent years and offer some great key trend pieces at affordable prices. Especially great for those of you who may be really wanted to try and out seasonal trends but still being able to blend them easily into your everyday or work wardrobe.
So – BHS, what are your thoughts? Anybody shopped there recently?
Love these winter inspired outfits – all of which are so adaptable for any climate with cute layering and texture.
